Former Union Minister and former BJP MP from Ara, RK Singh, openly opposed the liquor ban law implemented in Bihar at an event organized by the Kisan Sangathan in Bhikham Das’s Mathia premises located in Saraiyan in Bhojpur district. He said that the younger generation is being ruined by prohibition in Bihar. Today’s youth are in the grip of intoxication and are also joining the illegal liquor business. Describing it as harmful to the younger generation, he demanded immediate removal of liquor ban.

RK Singh said that due to the prohibition law, the police-administration is focused on catching the liquor mafia, which is ignoring other important issues. He said that the police-administration gets busy in catching liquor smugglers, which is adversely affecting law and order and development works.

In the program, the farmers demanded a solution to the problems related to their land. On this, RK Singh immediately spoke to the District Magistrate on the phone and assured to solve the problem. At the same time, he also agreed to open a women’s college in Saraiyan and to make Saraiyan market encroachment free.

During this, RK Singh targeted the current MP Sudama Prasad and called him poor and characterless. He said that MPs are confusing the public by deliberately bringing a proposal to change the name of Ara station. He said that the MP’s job is only to leave Shagufa and remain in the news, while no concerted efforts are being made for development.

During the program, RK Singh assured to solve the problems of farmers and expressed his commitment to the development of the area. He said that he is always standing with the public and will make every effort to solve their problems.
